Profile
From a young age, my interests in art, people and technological innovation have evolved into a burning passion for all things creative. I grew up in a historically Lumbee Indian community outside of Lumberton, NC. There’s something special about listening to the stories of elders and leaving with an overall life lesson. Human-centered stories are integral to fully embracing culture, as people are the driving force behind culture and the brands that shape it. I believe that amplifying unique perspectives, stories and experiences are essential to making the change in the world that we all wish to see. There is boundless power in creativity, but without bravery, it will never be unleashed.
Experience
I am a senior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill majoring in Media and Journalism with a concentration in Advertising and Public Relations, as well as a minor in Studio Art. I have many interests; Art, Fashion, Interior Design, Music, Social Justice, Education, and the list goes on. I have embraced that my broad interests demonstrate my curiosity, and there is still so much to explore. Professionally, I am interested in all realms of the Creative Industry with special interests in Art Direction, Creative Direction, Branding, Social Media and Marketing. I hope to continue to foster community and make life a little more vibrant through creativity and storytelling.
